After-School

An average afterschool day at the Boys & Girls Club...

Twenty five of our Club kids played on our three soccer teams this spring. This is our second year playing soccer and we hope to continue to grow this program.

Caldwood After-School Program

Not everyone realizes that we have two after-school programs. In addition to our main location on Interstate 10, we also have a program after school at Caldwood Elementary.

2010 Basketball

Over 100 Boys & Girls Club members played on one of our 11 basketball teams this year. The Boys & Girls Club facilitated a community league for ages 5-12. Including our own teams, 23 teams from the community played in our league providing a competitive and diverse playing experience for our members.

2009 Salvation Army Pop-Warner Season

Over 125 Boys & Girls Club members played on our six football teams this year.

The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club would like to take this time to thank our local Sutherlands store for donating over $700 worth of lumber at the beginning of the summer to construct a temporary wall/partition in our gym. This wall allows us to break up the square footage of our facility in a way that lets us serve our members more efficiently during the summer. We found this wall to be a blessing as it partitioned off one end of our gym as an extra program area. These wall units were put together in such a way that they can be taken down and stored for next summer. Meanwhile, we will continue to use two or three of the unit for various functions and special events during the year.
